That there are two types of Bentonite Clay? I always wondered how the naturals on YouTube get their clay so clumpy. While mine doesn't swell at all, it just gets chunky. The other night while reviewing the ingredients of Terressential (which is mostly Bentonite Clay and Aloe Vera juice), with a bunch of natural hair ladies. We discuss the different types of clay.

There are two kinds of bentonite clay: swelling bentonite, also known as sodium or Western bentonite, and non swelling bentonite, known as calcium or southern bentonite. Both types of bentonite are formed from volcanic ash that has been deposited in water. Source

I have been using the calcium one, but some of you use the one that swells. I am now wondering if it makes a difference.
